HOW IT STARTED
A LITTLE PEAK INTO MY WORLD
The foundation for my therapy practice started back in high school, where I first began dating my now husband, and we experienced long distance for the 4 years we went to undergraduate school. During this time I discovered how much I didn't want to be part of the statistic of young, long distance couples that break up, and how much I wanted this relationship for the rest of my life!
My partner and I read all of the books on what it takes to make a relationship successful, and the psychology behind relationships became a strong passion of mine while I was still in undergraduate school to become a teacher. After graduating, moving from New York to Florida, and then after teaching for a few years, I finally decided to obtain my graduate degree to work with couples. While I loved my time in the classroom, I knew it wasn't my truest passion, and I've been able to bring teaching strategies into therapy by providing education to clients on how and why our past and choices we make impact our relationships.

HOW I WORK
WHAT POPULATIONS DO I WORK BEST WITH?
My work with couples has included couples repairing after infidelity, new parents navigating relationship changes, couples working through addiction, couples feeling disconnected sexually, and more. I also adore utilizing my teaching background to work with engaged couples who are still learning what a healthy relationship looks like and what qualities they want to bring into a marriage.
No matter what stage of your relationship you're in, you're both constantly going through changes that impact the relationship, whether that be adding children into the dynamic, changing a job, becoming a caretaker for an aging parent, and so much more. Navigating life itself is a challenge, let alone figuring out how to best support your partner growing and changing alongside you as they navigate life too. I enjoy supporting couples through these periods of change to strengthen the foundation that has already been built and just needs some tweaking, or sometimes tearing down the entire house so it can be rebuilt completely from the ground up.
